R2.0 for MXO2 and CompressHD for Mac Now Available

Release 2.0 version software for Mac OS is now available for you to download.

The key feature of this release is the addition of many new control parameters for Matrox MAX such as variable bit rate, constant quality, scene detection, noise filtering and many more, that let users optimize encoding speed and video quality. Web video publishers, in particular, will appreciate the ability of Matrox MAX 2.0 to deliver superb quality video at low bit rates.

Release 2.0 provides the following new features for the Matrox MXO2 family:

Support for Mac OS X Snow Leopard only (v10.6.4).

1080p at 23.98 fps, 25 fps, and 29.97 fps support on HDMI and SDI outputs.

Genlock support for 23.98 fps on MXO2, MXO2 Rack, and MXO2 LE.

New Matrox MAX H.264 encoding features:

For Apple Compressor:
– Variable bit rate.
– Scene detection.
– Constant quality.
– Noise filter.
– Chapter marker support for Matrox MAX H.264 .mov and .264 files.
– H.264 level 3.1 support for encoding HD video for use with Apple iPad.

Autodesk Academic to Commercial Upgrade

Autodesk 3ds Max Student UpgradeAutodesk has an Academic to Commercial license upgrade for 3ds Max, Maya, Motionbuilder, Softimage and 3ds Max Design,  which allows owners of a perpetual student license to upgrade to a full commercial license for only $1300 (msrp) A better price is available on our website. This is a little known upgrade available from Autodesk, and is a great way for graduating students to upgrade for a reasonable cost.

Zbrush 4.0 Is Coming....

Pixologic has announced that Zbrush 4.0 will be released on August 9, 2010 for both Windows and Mac OSX. 

Also included:
Updated versions of all major plugins, and GoZBrush support for Modo, Cinema 4D, 3DSMax and Maya for Windows and Mac systems.

More information about ZBrush 4.0 and its features will be presented closer to launch date.

ZBrush 4 will be released as a free upgrade to all current registered ZBrush users,
and for those who purchase ZBrush before the release data.

Getting the upgrade will be easy, and linked to your Support Account.
If you have already created a Support account, simply log in and check to make sure that you have provided your Cleverbridge reference number and ZBrush 3 serial number.

If you have not created an account yet, do so and be sure to include the information from your license purchase (reference and serial numbers). Your Support account pre-registers you to receive the upgrades when they are released.

If you have received or been approached about cashing or depositing a check from Motion Media for an amount similar to $4,500 please be aware that you are most likely being scammed.  You may be part of a check fraud scam that is being investigated by the FBI, and we would like to hear from you.

DO NOT TRY TO CASH OR DEPOSIT THE CHECK or you could be liable in the case as well.

Instead, you should contact Motion Media at 310-450-4000 or via our contact page and give us all of the information you have surrounding the check that you received.

We are currently putting all of our resources into finding the person responsible for this scam and assure you that we will get to the bottom of this as soon as possible.
